President Trump is playing the US is passing the peek of new coronavirus infections. He says many parts of the country are in a strong position to reopen the economy. He has been at odds with state governors about the timing for easying restrictions.

ややこしいイディオムを補足します。

The BBC has seen a leaked letter which is highly critical of the UK government’s handling of the pandemic. The association of directors of adult social services tells ministers they presided over a quote shambolic supply chain for personal protective equipment and for the thousands of NHS volunteers who’ve been left with nothing to do.
訳
BBCはイギリス政府のパンデミックへの対応を酷評する漏洩文書を入手した。成人社会福祉の理事会は主宰する大臣に対し、個人の保護器具やボランティアのずさんな供給見積を伝えており、派遣されたにもかかわらず何もすることがなかったNHSボランティアが1000人規模で発生している。
補足
そのまま訳すとなんだかしっくりこなかったので、忠実な訳ではないです。
知らない単語がいくつかあったので補足します。

- shambolic：(adjective)ずさんな

Denmark schools open：デンマークの学校開校

School children up to 11 years old are returning to their classrooms in Denmark as more Europian counties relaxed their lockdown. In Germany, some schools will reopen from May the 4th. The European Union has been discussing how to coordinate strategy among member states for relaxing restrictions.
訳
ヨーロッパ諸国でのロックダウン緩和を受けて、デンマークでは11歳までの学生が通学を再開した。ドイツでは、複数の学校が5月4日に再開予定。EUはどのような規制緩和戦略を打ち出すべきか議論が進んでいる。
まとめ
日本を先駆けて厳しい外出規制を強いていたアメリカやヨーロッパでは、規制緩和の声があがりはじめているようです。
少し落ち着いてきたこの段階で、ウイルスによるパニック状態での国政に対して、冷静な批判が高まってくるのかもしれないですね。
いずれにせよ、日々前線で戦ってくださっている医療関係の方々や働かざるを得ないお店の方々に感謝しつつ、一日でも早くの収束を願うばかりです。
